CASSIOBURY FIREWORKS SATURDAY 7 NOVEMBER 2026
On the Saturday nearest to Guy Falks night there’s a fireworks display. It attracts 40,000 visitors. The display starts at 7.30pm and lasts 18mns.
Although the display is free, there are Round Table volunteers at each entrance collecting money for charity, so take some change to throw into the bucket.
See DIRECTIONS AND PARKING for detailed walking directions to the park from nearby car parks and from both stations. All you need to do is to get close to the park, then follow the crowds.
There are no ground-level fireworks, only rockets. So you will get a good view no matter where you stand (unless you stand behind a tree).
TIPS:
- take careful note of where you entered the park, after the display you will be disorientated.
- 40,000 people leaving the park though six narrow exits takes a long time. 20mns? 40mns?
- if you parked on the Cassiobury estate (or the car park in the fields) it can take you 45mns to get back to the main road when you go home.
PARKING
PARKING IN THE NEARBY CAR PARKS
The car park in the park is open to Blue Badge holders on a first-come first-served bases. See DIRECTIONS & PARKING for other car parks.
Extra parking is on the playing fields (see top left of park map), approach from Parkside Drive, the last tiny stretch of road between the Langley Way entrance and the playing fields is called Coningsby Drive. Allow plenty of time.
PARKING IN THE STREETS AROUND THE PARK
Parking in the streets around the park is very limited, the streets nearest to the park are no parking (they are coned-off).
DIRECTIONS ONCE IN THE PARK
From the Rickmansworth Road entrance
You can go either way (left fork or right fork) so don’t worry that people seem to be going both ways. My recommendation would be to take the left hand fork. Where the path curves right (after the café on the left and shelter on the right) continue straight ahead onto the fields.
From the Shepherds Road entrance
Ahead into the park, turn left onto the main path at the end, and where the path curves right continue ahead onto the fields.
Gade Avenue entrance.
Anywhere to the right of the car park is good.
From the three entrances alongside Parkside Drive
Anywhere downhill of the Gardens entrance is good, squeeze past the line of caravans / food stalls onto the fields.
